brassy barstools part 3

I found it....I finally committed.  In the last post, I showed y'all lots of  fabric options I was considering for the our new barstools.  As you noticed, I'm sure, they are all neutral.  However, all along, in the back of my mind I wanted something with some blues.... I just hadn't been able to find what I was looking for, soo I started looking more neutral.

But alas, yesterday I was doing a little searching on ebay (I LOVE ebay) and there it was, in all its glory!

Lee Jofa Cliffoney in Blue and White
I love it....  Bought it through this seller...they have lots of really amazing "to the trade" fabrics at great prices.  I can't wait for it to come in.  I also recently bought a hippo :), aka this Thomas Paul pillow for $15 @ Anthropologie in Boston!!! (NOTE: the fringe on my pillow is not this color -- it is a much darker royal blue) It sits on an orange chair adjacent to where the barstools will be...my new fabric should tie in nicely (i hope)!

Brassy Barstools part 2...

Fabrics I am considering to give my barstools the facelift they desperately need!

I would really like to use this....but its a little out of price range according to the husband. (is anyone else really good at finding the perfect thing...only to find out they can't have it!)

David Hicks - La Fiorentina in Camel/Ivory

So moving on to more realistic options....  All found at Premier Fabrics...they offer some very "on trend" affordable options at super affordable prices.

Option 1

option 2

option 3

option 4
Thoughts??  Any favorites for anyone?

brassy barstools...oh my!

I will be picking these up later today...  and I must say - I am pretty excited about them.  Some of you probably think I am crazy, but with a little polish and new upholstery I think they are going to be awesome.

Best part...  I got them for $15 each @ Callie's Corner here in Ruston.  If you haven't been, you should go... lots of treasures!

Happy Friday everyone :)

birthday getaway!

As many of you know, my husband celebrated his 30th birthday this past weekend!  I wanted to do something memorable...since it was his 30th.  I decided to do a little "gift weekend" for him.... so in a few weeks we will get to enjoy a little time at the Alluvian.  We have always wanted to go so I decided it was time...  My parents were kind enough to give Matt (and me) a cooking class at the Viking Cooking School, which is attached to the hotel!  Matt was thrilled...

Needless to say I am looking forward to spending a little time taking in the luxury and design of this....
